  • Senior Carer

Senior Care Assistant required to join our friendly, dedicated and hard working team at Pingley Court Care Home in Woodseats, Sheffield.

Interested candidates should have previous residential care experience and be passionate about providing care of the highest quality.

Hours: Full time - 38.5 hours average

Salary: To be discussed on application

Requirements for the role of Senior Carer:

You must be committed to helping others, reliable, willing to think of ways to make our residents' lives interesting, exciting and fun, and be prepared to lead by example. 

You will be required to

  • Plan, implement and supervise the provision of quality care, in conjunction with clients.
  • Ensure clients retain their dignity and individuality.
  • Be involved in the general activities of the Care Centre/Unit.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff Members and visitors.
  • Support training and supervision of junior and new Staff Members.

Skills, Knowledge and Attitudes needed:

Required:

  • Genuine interest in, and experience of working with, the relevant Client group
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Team player
  • Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience / Qualification in the Safe Handling of Medicines

Desired:

  • NVQ Level 4 in Care
