Are you caring for someone with dementia? At Pingley Court Care Home, we’re excited to share an incredible opportunity for carers in Sheffield. The Alzheimer’s Society – Sheffield Dementia Carers Training Service is launching a series of workshops starting in April 2025.
This six-week programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and emotional resilience needed to support your loved one. You’ll also have the chance to connect with other carers who truly understand your journey.
What’s included in the workshops?
✅ Understanding dementia and its impact
✅ Legal and financial guidance
✅ Providing care and support
✅ Day-to-day coping strategies
✅ Understanding dementia progression
✅ Planning for later stages and end-of-life care
How does it work?
Each workshop lasts 2 hours and will run weekly. You can attend in person at local community venues or join online via Zoom/Teams—whatever works best for you!
